Whoopi Goldberg
Born and raised in New York City, Whoopi worked in theatre and improvisation in San Diego and the Bay Area, where she performed with the Blake Street Hawkeyes theatre troupe. It was there that she created the characters which became “The Spook Show” and evolved into her hit Broadway show, Grammy Award-winning album and the HBO special that helped launch her career.
In addition to the Oscar, the Grammy and two Golden Globe Awards, Whoopi has been honored with multiple NAACP Image Awards, numerous People’s Choice Awards (including a special tribute in 1998) and an unprecedented five Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards as “Favorite Movie Actress,” as well as various awards and honors for her many humanitarian efforts.
Whoopi has placed prints of her hands, feet and braids in the forecourt of the famed Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which resides in front of the Kodak Theatre. |

Lisa, Segment Producer
Lisa Jackson comes to the show with 20+ years in the entertainment industry beginning in Sales at Arista Records and including Executive VP/GM of Spike Lee's 40 Acres And A Mule Musicworks; Director, A&R at Island Records; Professional Manager at Island Music Publishing; and as a Freelance Event Planner/Marketing Consultant.
Lisa was born and raised in in Brooklyn, NY -- AND PROUD OF IT.

Tim, Board Op/Production
Tim Louie is an 11 year radio vet who started his radio career on NYC's radio giant Z100 as part of "Elvis, Elliot, and the Z-Morning Zoo", which would later become known as "Elvis Duran and the Morning Zoo". Tim was a Zoo member for 6 years where was known as "Hong Kong Rim Rouie, The Chinese Guy in the Back". In 2002, Tim would move over to sister station WKTU to become the assistant producer for "Baltazar and Goumba Johnny in the Morning" where he would hone in on his production and board op skills creating some great moments for that morning show. Tim is no stranger to the "Wake Up with Whoopi" show, though. He would become the local board op and producer for "Wake Up with Whoopi" on WKTU in 2006. Tim joins "Wake Up with Whoopi" here in 2008 with much radio experience.
In Tim's spare time, he's also a writer for a NY/NJ music newspaper called The Aquarian Weekly where he writes a weekly column about local bands from the NY/NJ area, a monthly column about the areas various tattoo shops, and he occasionally gets to interview some top notched music celebrities. Tim is also an accomplished bass player in a hard rock band called Hostel Inc. who plays in the NY/NJ area with occasional shows out of state. Tim still has aspirations of becoming a "Rock Star".

Leandra, Programming Assistant
Leandra graduated from both Queensborough College with a degree of Music Engineering
and New York College Of Technology, with a degree of Entertainment Technology. The production bug hit her as early as age 13 when she worked on a public access TV show. Prior to joining the crew at Wake Up With Whoopi, Leandra interned at MTV, Def Jam, Zomba Label Group, and Rawkus Records. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great group of people who she now considers family
..who could ask for anything more!
The Brooklyn born native, now Long Islander is mom to a five year old son who she loves spending time with. When she is not spending time with her family, Leandra can be found in the recording studio, recording and editing music.

Glenn, Web Producer
Glenn is a native of the west coast. Before joining the crew at Wake Up With Whoopi, Glenn served in the US Army for 6 years, was a firefighter in Washington State and left with the rank of Battalion Chief. He worked for Premiere Radio Networks as a production assistant in the programming department before becoming a member of the Whoopi team.
Glenn has been working with websites, bot static and dynamic since 1998.
Glenn lives in West New York, NJ, with 2 Labrador Retrievers.
